Atheism: A discussion
7:30 PM on 24th November 2010
Moordown Community Centre, Coronation Avenue, Moordown, Bournemouth BH9 1TW
Richard Green will argue that the advancement of atheism is a worthwhile cause in its own right, that the world would be a better place without theism, faith or religion, and that there is no need to replace them with anything else. In doing so, he will discuss the meaning and philosophical basis of atheism, the relationship between atheism and ethics, and the distinction between atheism and humanism. Richard is a founding council member of "Atheism", the UK's first and only distinctively atheist organization.
Everyone welcome. Free Entry. For further details of this and other events visit www.dorsethumanists.co.uk
