Crescent to be tackled under the ‘Partnership Perimeter Policing’ initiative ‘

The Crescent is the next area of Boscombe to be tackled under the ‘Partnership Perimeter Policing’ (PPP) initiative ‘
Under the PPP initiative Dorset police officers, their partners and the community are working together to improve Boscombe, 100 square meters at a time.
Whilst the details of how the Crescent will be cleaned up are yet to be decided – this will be determined at a forthcoming multi-agency  meeting- it will involve the East Cliff, Springbourne and Boscombe West safer neighbourhood team, Bournemouth Borough Council, and local traders and residents.
Boscombe PC Will Martindale, who is leading work on the cleanup said: “The idea behind this project is to re-establish the crescent as a community space, making it a safer place and welcoming area for everyone in Boscombe to enjoy.”
He added: “I am excited to be part of this project and look forward to seeing the end result.”
Extra police patrols are already being carried out in the Crescent as part of the PPP initiative.
It is hoped that work to clean up the area will be regularly maintained.
